RIPTA detours bus Route 92 to accommodate outdoor dining on Federal Hill Friday’s and Saturday’s

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – RIPTA will detour Route 92 every Friday and Saturday from 3:30 p.m. to Midnight to accommodate outdoor dining on Federal Hill.

The detour begins Friday, June 19 through October of 2020.

Atwells Avenue will be shut down from Bradford Street to Knight Street.

If you are heading west, trips will travel the regular route to Bus Stop D. The bus route will then turn right onto Dorrance St., left onto West Exchange St., right onto Dean St., left onto Kinsley Ave., left onto Eagle St., right onto Atwells Ave. and then continue its regular route.

RIPTA passengers heading eastbound will travel the regular route to Atwells Ave. and Eagle St., turning left onto Eagle St., right onto Kinsley Ave., right onto Dean St., left onto West Exchange St., right onto Service Rd., right onto Sabin St., a left onto Empire St., left onto Fountain St. and then continue the regular bus route.

The RIPTA Route 92 covers RI College, Federal Hill and the East Side.
