RIPTA service to run holiday schedule in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will operate it’s fixed-route service on a sunday/holiday schedule in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

All RIPTA offices will be closed Monday. Flex services will not be available Monday except for Route 23 (URI/Narragansett/South Kingstown) will run on the Sunday schedule from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Flex Reservation Line will not operate on Monday.

The Statewide RIde program will operate previously scheduled trips on Monday, January 17. The RIde Reservation Line will not operate on Monday. Passengers can leave a detailed message for future trips on the messaging system.

Regular service will resume Tuesday, January 18.
