RIPTA to run holiday service on January 1 for New Year’s Day Holiday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) has put out an advisory noting their fixed-route bus service will be available on a Sunday/Holiday Schedule on Saturday, January 1, 2022 in observance of New Year’s Day.

The statewide RIde program will operate only ADA trips on the holiday. Flex services will be unavailable. The RIde reservation line and the Flex Services line will not be staffed, as well as all RIPTA offices, and customer service lines.
