RISPCA renovates cat rooms at new building

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said the cat rooms at its new facility in Warwick are being renovated.

The renovations at 155 Plan Way are being designed by Rescue Rebuild, a community-driven shelter renovation program of Greater Good Charities, and are funded by The Alex and Elisabeth Lewyt Charitable Trust.

Spokesperson Stephanie Van Patten said the work should be completed by July 25 and the rooms will have “a nautical theme that invites adopters to stay a while and meet the wonderful shelter cats that will reside there.”

“The new space will allow cats to lounge, explore or play on sailboat shelves, rope bridges, and a buoy cat tower,” she said.
