Road closed, police presence near Blackstone Christ Community Church

BLACKSTONE, Mass. (WLNE) — A large police presence was observed in Blackstone near the Christ Community Church Saturday afternoon.

ABC6 News crews were on the scene where police cruisers could be seen blocking off the street between Main and Ascension Streets.

Police officers were observed going door-to-door in the neighborhood. A house near one end of the street was cordoned off with crime tape.

No information regarding incident or injuries was immediately released.

Blackstone Police Chief Gregory Gilmore told WCVB News there is no danger to the public.
