Roads tapped off as police investigate shooting in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE)- Pawtucket police have now confirmed that a shooting took place Wednesday night.

ABC6 News Crews arrived to the scene where they saw 5 Pawtucket police cruisers investigating.

Police were blocking off a small perimeter from Jefferson Avenue to West Street, across from the playground, with crime scene tape.

Police were also seen searching through the area from A&S corner convenience store to West Mart.

ABC6 News Crews also saw what appeared to be a vehicle that had been struck by a bullet, Pawtucket police confirmed the damage was related to this shooting.
