Roger Williams University working to expand Providence campus

BRISTOL, R.I. – Roger Williams University is moving forward with expansion for its campus in Providence.

The university’s board of trustees authorized negotiations with Berkeley Investments Inc. The university is considering leasing 76,000 square feet of space at One Empire Plaza, the former headquarters of 38 Studios. 

The new location is expected to open in June 2016, and would be nearly twice the amount of the university’s current space in downtown Providence.

The new campus is expected to replace Roger Williams’ Metro Center located at 150 Washington St. in Providence.
