Ronald McDonald House expansion project
By News Staff
The Ronald McDonald House had a ground breaking Wednesday for their “Always Room at the House” expansion project. Governor Gina Raimondo and Mayor Jorge Elorza along with a group of community leaders were in attendance
The project had an initial goal to raise $5 Million to fund the Providence locations expansion. So far over $3 Million dollars has been raised from the help of generous donations by the RMH Charities of New England, several corporate gifts, and individual supporters.
This will be the largest expansion of the Providence Gay Street RMH since it opened in 1989. Ten bedrooms as well as program space will be added making the location available for an additional 130 families annually.
