Salons Donating Cut Hair to Aid With Gulf Spill

Dozens of hair salons in Rhode Island are joining thousands across the country in sending the clippings left after haircuts down to the Gulf of Mexico, help in the oil spill cleanup.

The hair is assembled into large 'booms', which can be used to absorb the oil on the surface of the water.
