School bus driver cited after crash in Fall River

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — A school bus driver in Fall River was cited after a crash Monday morning.

According to police, the crash happened around 7 a.m. on the 500 block of Charles Street.

Police said the driver veered off the roadway, struck a pole and came to rest against a home on Charles Street.

At the time of the crash, four students and bus monitor were on the bus. One student was taken to the hospital to be evaluated.

Police said the driver of the bus was cited for negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lane violation.
