WARWICK, R.I. (AP) _ Seattle Seahawks cornerback and Rhode Island native Will Blackmon is hosting a free one-day football camp for youth.
The Will Blackmon Youth Football Clinic runs Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bishop Hendricken High School in Warwick. About 200 boys and girls ages 7 through 14 are expected to participate.
The camp is supported through a grant from the nonprofit National Football League Foundation. Blackmon says the camp is a way to give back to the community.
The 30-year-old NFL player is a Providence native and a graduate of Bishop Hendricken High School. Blackmon is entering his ninth season in the NFL.
He has played for the Green Bay Packers, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New York Giants.
