Search warrant leads to arrest of East Providence man trafficking narcotics

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The East Providence police executed a search warrant Wednesday, resulting the arrest of a man trafficking narcotics.
After a two month-long investigation, police searched a residence on Juniper St. The officers, along with K9 Chiko, seized the following:
· Approximately 205 grams of cocaine with a street value of $9,000
· Approximately 4.5 pounds of marijuana with a street value of $11,250
· 133 Adderall pills with a street value of $3,000
· Glock model 48, 9mm semi-automatic pistol
· Taurus G2C 9mm semi-automatic pistol
· 2 large capacity 9mm magazines with ammunition
· $6,013 US Currency
Ryan Brasil, 26, was arrested and charged with the following:
· Two counts Using a Firearm When Committing a Crime of Violence
· Distribution or Manufacturing a Controlled Substance Near a School
· Manufacturing/Possessing/Delivery of Cocaine 1oz-1kg
· Manufacturing/Possessing/Delivery of Marijuana 1-5kg
· Manufacturing/Possessing/Delivery of Schedule I/II Narcotic (Amphetamines)
Brasil is being held without bail at the ACI.
