Season beach passes and gift certificates to go on sale April 20

Scarborough South State Beach Snack Bar Shut Down After Worker Tests Positive For Covid 19

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Department of Environmental Management announced on Thursday that season beach passes and gift certificates will be going on sale starting on Tuesday.

Beachgoers can buy the passes online at the state’s website.

Resident, non-resident, or senior season beach passes are available at this site as well as daily flex passes, which allow for one-day parking.

The DEM is encouraging beachgoers to purchase season passes and flex passes in advance to reduce the wait times while entering the beach.

The passes will allow for Rhode Islanders to use the express lane when heading to the parking lot.

Express lanes are available at all state beaches except for East Beach, Charlestown Breachway and Salty Brine, which are one-lane facilities.
