Second sexual assault victim of Charlestown dental assistant comes forward

Dental Molester Still

CHARLESTOWN, RI (WLNE) – Police in Charlestown say they’ve received a second complaint of an alleged sexual assault against a former dental assistant at Arrowhead Dental Associates.

The first complaint against Kris Magbag, 31, a former dental assistant at the office,  was originally received by police on April 22. The complaint alleged that Magbag molested the victim at the office while he was under anesthesia.

An investigation into the first complaint led to Magbag getting charged with 2nd Degree Sexual Assault upon an 18-year-old male patient. He was formally arraigned in court on May 2.

The second complaint against Magbag of an alleged sexual assault came on June 19 at the same dental office under similar circumstances, police say.

In the complaint, a 28-year-old male victim alleged that on April 14 he was having a dental procedure performed on him and while coming out of anesthesia, Magbag sexually assaulted him.

Magbag turned himself into police on July 1 with his lawyer.

He was charged with one additional count of 2nd degree sexual assault.

Magbag was released on $10,000 personal recognizance with a next court date of Aug. 7.

Charlestown Police again request that anyone with additional information related to these offences, or similar offenses, contact Lt. Kevin Kidd at 401-213-6903.
