Section of Phenix Avenue in Cranston to close until next week

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cranston Police Department said that a section of Phenix Avenue for preparation of the annual St. Mary’s Feast.

The department said a section of the road between Greene Avenue and Cranston Street will be temporarily closed to through traffic until Monday, July 24 at 8 a.m.

Drivers should expect delays and use detours, and large trucks should seek alternate route as they will be detoured away from the area.

The annual feast will take place on July 22 and will include food and drinks, music, fireworks, and a road race that will begin at 5 p.m.
