Seekonk karate studio will offer virtual complimentary lessons for new students

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- As parents struggle to keep children entertained and in-shape as parks and other activity centers remain closed, one Seekonk karate studio is bringing the action into its students’ living rooms.

Rock Silva’s American Karate has been instructing its students in the finer points of kicks, chops, and rolls for 30 years out of its Seekonk, Massachusetts studio.

But with Governor Charlie Baker closing non-essential businesses throughout the state, the venerable dojo was forced to shut its doors.

Now, instructors are hoping to inspire training at home, to keep kids and adults striving to earn their black belt.

Classes are taped at the the studio and posted online twice a week. And the studio is currently offering 2 weeks of complimentary classes for new students, starting on April 20th.

More information can be found on the Rocky Silva’s American Karate website.
