SEEKONK, Mass. (WLNE) — The town of Seekonk has a new police chief.

The Board of Selectmen on Wednesday promoted David Enos, who served as the deputy chief and is a 19-year veteran, to chief.

Last month, the town terminated Chief Dean Isabella’s contract because Seekonk police needed a “directional shift.”

Isabella then filed a lawsuit against the town after the board to terminate his contract early and asked for “compensation for damages sustained by our client due to the acts and omissions of the town.”

Isabella’s termination went into effect Jan. 20.
