RI Republicans Bring in Their Own Heavy-Hitters

Although President Obama's visit to RI is the big story today, the RI Democrats weren't the only ones hosting a high-profile visitor.

Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown joined Republican Congressional candidate John Loughlin to campaign in Lincoln today, as Loughlin hopes to channel some of the momentum and public sentiment that swept Brown into office to occupy the seat that belonged to the late Edward Kennedy.

ABC6 Reporter Erica Ricci has the details on that visit.

Earlier in the day, Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele was in Warwick with his “Fire Pelosi” bus, and was joined by candidates John Loughlin, Mark Zaccaria, and Kerry King, as well as Mayors Fung and Avedisian and other prominent local Republicans.
