Several cars stuck due to flooding on Charles Street in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Several cars got caught in flooded roadways on Charles Street in Providence Monday night.

Department of Public Work crews arrived at Charles Street by the West River just after 10 p.m.

An ABC 6 News crew saw five vehicles stuck in the flooded roadway.

Crews were seen using rafts to get people to safety who were stuck in their cars.

The roadway remains blocked, including the ramp to Rt. 146.
