Severe storms stay to the west
Air quality around the area is moderate and could be unhealthy for sensitive groups

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The smoke from the Canadian wildfires has worked its way back into our skies. It’s been hazy this morning and air quality is moderate for us today.
Severe Outlook is to the west of us, but we will catch a few spot showers later on.
Today it will be humid with a mix of sun and clouds for the day. Expect some spotty afternoon showers and pop up t’storms later in the day.
There is a trough nearby that is generating energy in the atmosphere and though most of the storms fire up to the west of us, by the time they make it here they lose a lot of the energy.
A front moves through late on Wednesday and that gives us a little relief from the humidity for about a day before the dew points ramp back up Thursday night into Friday. We see the showers ramp back up too for Friday.
TODAY: High 84. Humid. Mix of sun and clouds. Afternoon spot shower/t’storm.
WEDNESDAY: High 86. Spot showers.
THURSDAY: High 82. 20% chance of afternoon spot showers.
FRIDAY: High 80. Cloudy, humid, 70% chance of afternoon t’storms.
SATURDAY: High 83. Mix of sun and clouds.
SUNDAY: High 85. Partly Sunny.
