Severe Weather Potential Monday
Our muggy weekend conditions will continue into the week. In fact, Monday is looking to be quite active. Starting off with locally dense fog, clouds will hang out all day. into this muggy air, we will bring a front. This front will bring energy that will feed the development of scattered showers and strong thunderstorms. The afternoon and evening could see thunderstorms that could bring frequent lightning, small hail, damaging winds and torrential downpours. These are the hallmarks of severe thunderstorms. Monday will be very warm and humid with temperatures topping out in the mid-80s. All eyes are on Tuesday and Fourth of July festivities will include mostly sunny skies and it will also be very humid. We once again have the chance of popping up scattered showers and thunderstorms. Tuesday thunderstorms could contain damaging winds and heavy rain. Highs will be in the lower-80s. We start to see big changes midweek. Wednesday will be mainly sunny with the slightest chance of an afternoon shower and temperatures will dial up well into the 80s. Thursday will be the hottest day with full sunshine and highs in the upper-80s. With the heat and humidity combined, we will feel like the mid-90s. The dry and warm weather stick around through Friday as well.
