Shots fired in North Kingstown near shopping center, 2 cars involved

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE): The North Kingstown Police department responded to what appears to be a gang-related shooting near Frenchtown Road in North Kingstown around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, according to the North Kingstown Police Department. 

A 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old man were in a gray hyundai when they were shot at by a passenger in a silver or light blue minivan, according to Chief of Police, Patrick Flanagan. 

The two males were the intended targets, according to Flanagan. There were no injuries. 

East Greenwich Police and Rhode Island State Police also assisted. 

  The investigation is still ongoing.
