Showers, Heat and Humidity

We have the hottest week of the year ahead of us. Before we get to the heat in Tuesday, we will have a period of unsettled weather. Sunday morning will see clouds and low temperatures in the upper-60s. We will finish out the weekend with a mix of sun and clouds, continuation of the mugginess and a slight chance of an afternoon shower or isolated thunderstorm. Sunday highs will once again be in the mid 80s. Monday into Tuesday will be our best chance to pick up rain in the week ahead. A strong front will come through bringing a chance of showers Monday after the early am commute through overnight into early Monday. We will have a chance of thunderstorms at this time as well. Any thunderstorms we make Monday into Tuesday will have a marginal chance of bringing severe weather. This will be followed by the dog days of summer as high temperatures meet or top 90 from Tuesday into next weekend. A heat wave? Likely as of now.
