Two women killed in Fall River crash Tuesday identified

Two other passengers, a 23-year-old Fall River woman, and her 18-month old son were transported to Rhode Island and Hasbro Children's Hospital. The woman is in stable condition while the toddler is in serious but stable condition. 

FALL RIVER, M.A. (WLNE) – Fall River Police are investigating a fatal accident at Second and Morgan Streets.

Two women died in the crash. A 29-year-old passenger named Chantel Gould and the 74-year-old driver named Dinasalia Medeiros. Both women were from Fall River.

Two other passengers, a 23-year-old Fall River woman, and her 18-month old son were transported to Rhode Island and Hasbro Children’s Hospital. The woman is in stable condition while the toddler is in serious but stable condition, according to police.

Police say a preliminary investigation revealed that the car was traveling north on Second Street around 12:15 p.m. Tuesday when it appeared to have clipped the curb. This caused the Acura 3.2TL that Medeiros was driving to lose control and struck the thrift store “Finders Keepers” at on Second Street.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. No other cars or pedestrians were involved, according to police.
