Slow, gradual improvements on the way as rain/snow starts to taper off

Look for rain and snow showers to continue Friday night, becoming less numerous and lighter over time.  Other than wet roads, there should not be many impacts on travel.  Rain and snow showers linger into early Saturday morning, giving way to cloudy skies later in the day.  It remains chilly and raw.  Sunday and Monday are milder, but a little unsettled with a slight chance of rain showers.  Tuesday is the pick of the forecast with warm temperatures and mostly sunny skies.  Wednesday is mild with rain moving in at night.  Thursday and Friday are breezy and mild.
