Snow showers continue, ending late Friday night

On & off snow showers continue into Friday night, tapering off overnight into early Saturday morning.  Most snow showers are light to moderate in nature, and many treated roadways remain in good shape.  Untreated surfaces may become slick at times.  Any additional accumulation should be minor.  A Winter Weather Advisory remains in place through 7pm (midnight for the Cape & Islands).

Conditions improve Saturday as the system finally pulls away from the area.  Clouds give way to developing sunshine later Saturday, followed by sunny skies for Sunday.  Temperatures remain chilly.

Next week starts with clouds and showers Monday.  Rain showers look most likely, but a few snowflakes may mix in at first.  Temperatures look a little more seasonable next week (warmer than we’ve seen lately).  We’ll clear out for Tuesday through the end of the work week.
