Sophia Gorriarian Wins Two State Titles, Classical Girls Claim Team Track and Field Crown
Moses Brown senior Sophia Gorriaran won the 1,000 and 1,500 meter dashes to take home two Rhode Island state championships at the Providence Career and Technical Center Saturday.
The Classical Purple won the overall team crown.
Other champions include: Lincoln’s Jillian Leahy (hammer throw), North Smithfield’s Bethany Marsella (55m hurdles), West Warwick’s Lisa Raye (55m), East Greenwich’s Reese Fahys (3,000m).
