A source is telling ABC6 that a warrant for the arrest of Patriot's tight end Aaron Hernandez has been issued for the charge of obstruction of justice.

The Massachusetts District Attorney denied comment on whether the warrant was issued.

The Boston Globe is reporting that there is no record at Attleboro District Court of the warrant, however, sources the ABC that the warrant has not been officially signed at this point but is imminent.

On Thursday it was revealed by sources that police seized a destroyed home surveillance system from Hernandez's North Attleboro home and Hernandez's cell phone which had been smashed.

Hernandez has been under investigation after his associate 27-year-old Odin Lloyd was found dead, shot execution style, less than a mile from Hernandez's home in a North Attleboro industrial park.

Hernandez did not return to his home last night after visiting his Boston's lawyer's office. It is unclear where or when the warrant will be executed.
