Speed a factor in Fall River Heritage State Park crash, police say

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Fall River police said Tuesday a driver was speeding before crashing at a park.
The crash happened Monday night at the Fall River Heritage State Park on Davol Street.
Sgt. Moses Pereira said the driver of a Nissan then lost control of the car. While trying to regain control, he hit a light pole, part of guardrail, and ultimately came to a stop against a trailered boat.
Pereira said when they arrived, they found the Nissan rolled over on its roof.
The driver, whose name wasn’t immediately released, was taken to Saint Luke’s Hospital a precaution. He was cited for negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
