Rehoboth Police are investigating a crash that left one man dead.

Around 8:30 Tuesday evening, a truck driving east on Tremont Street somehow went off the road and hit a tree.

The driver, 37-year-old Rehoboth resident Kevin Jarvis, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Rehoboth Police and the Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction unit are investigating why the vehicle left the roadway.  Preliminary results indicate that speeding was a factor in the crash.
