Spring has sprung, gorgeous few days before wet weather returns

Providence, RI – Happy Spring! The new season officially began at 5:24 PM Monday evening.

After a cold morning that saw temperatures in the 20s, we rebounded nicely to get up around 50 for the afternoon.

The dry, sunny weather continues into Tuesday, but a warm surge of air guided by southwest winds will bring us to near 60 degrees!

With the sunny and warm weather, seasonal allergies will become more of an issue the next few days. Tree pollen becomes an issue in late March and peaks in April.

Pollen Forecast

Weather will be dry through Wednesday, where we will see clouds increase by the afternoon. A weather disturbance out west will track in our direction by Thursday, and will kick off consecutive unsettled days into the weekend.

Model guidance has light rain moving in Thursday into Friday, with more rain for the second half of Saturday after a brie respite. Once the system moves off to the east we are left with a nice Sunday.
