PROVIDENCE, R.I. — A Newport teenager who is being accused of stabbing three Plymouth State University students is set to be arraigned Monday.

Police say 19-year-old Terrence Simmons Jr. had various illegal drugs on him when he was arrested.

A family member of one of the stabbing victims tells ABC6 that this all started when Simmons was asked to leave an off campus party, but refused.

Once he finally got outside, officials say Simmons stabbed three partygoers.

Two of victims have been released from the hospital, but one of them remains in the ICU in stable condition.
