PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – A new partnership has been established to better prepare Rhode Island students for the growing number of jobs in the digital economy.

The state and Infosys teaming up with CCRI to create a new design and innovation center in Providence.

The Digital Economy Aspirations Lab (DEAL) will develop educational programming to train and strengthen the future workforce.

The state is expecting to see a big return on the investment.

In its first year, DEAL will support 15 to 20 CCRI students through a mentorship, plus an additional 200 students through other opportunities at the innovation hub.
