State PD: Two people seriously injured in Rt. 195 crash

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — State Police responded to a serious two car crash on Rt. 195 in East Providence Wednesday night. 

According to troopers, two people in their 80’s were transported to Rhode Island Hospital with serious, though non-life threatening, injuries.

The crash happened shortly after 8 p.m. when the vehicle the two were driving in rear-ended another car, causing it to roll-over.

The car that was rear-ended only had minor damage and no one inside was injured.

State Police is currently investigating the cause of the crash, though they believe speed may have been a factor.
