State police add man wanted for Holyoke murder to most wanted list

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Police said Thursday they added a man wanted for a December homicide to their list of most wanted fugitives.
According to police, they are searching for Evdyele O’Neil Flores, 21, for his role in the Dec. 7, 2022 killing of 49-year-old Luis Ramos.
That night, police said they responded to a report of shots fired at the intersection of Pine and Sergeant Streets.
When first responders arrived, they said they found two empty cars that looked like they had been in an accident as well as multiple spent shell casings.
Officials located a man lying face-down in the back yard of a nearby home with a gunshot wound to the stomach.
Police identified the man as Ramos who was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died.
Investigators identified Flores as one of the occupants of one of the vehicles involved in a crash and as the suspected gunman.
It is believed Flores fired more than 10 rounds at Ramos who was traveling in the other vehicle, police said.
Homicide detectives obtained a warrant for Flores’ arrest with nationwide extradition authorized.
Police said Flores remains at large and is believed to be actively avoiding capture.
Flores is described as being five-foot, seven inches tall and approximately 150lbs. He has black hair, brown eyes and has tattoos of “as I walk through the valley,” on his left forearm.
He is also described to have the word “Oleanni” tattooed on his left ear. He may also be operating under the aliases of Evdyelle Flores and Abdyle Pabon.
Authorities said Flores has ties throughout the greater Springfield area and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone who sees Flores or has information regarding his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section at 1-800-527-8873.
