WARWICK, RI- Family and friends gathered in Warwick for the 12th anniversary service to remember the victims of the Station Nightclub fire.

A special ceremony honored the 100 people who died in the fire in 2003.

The memorial was postponed from February because of a snow storm.

Inside Warwick City Hall, there was a moment of silence, music and guest speakers.

“It’s always about remembering our 100– they are the primary focus in all of this  and that’s the reason why we’re here today but we are going to be making some construction announcements and where we’re at with leadership and fund raising,” said survivor and Station Memorial Foundation President, Gina Russo.

A new rendering of the Station Nightclub memorial was on display.

The foundation has raised $500,000 of the two-million needed to sustain the memorial.

Groundbreaking is this spring and is on track to be ready by 2016.
