NANTUCKET, Mass. (WLNE) — The Steamship Authority had technical issues with its website Tuesday, leaving many customers upset.

Tuesday was the first day of booking for the summer trips to Nantucket.

The Steamship Authority tweeted that the IT team is still working on resolving the issue.

“Although some customers are continuing to report issues, as of approximately 8:30 a.m., the Authority had processed approximately 4,000 reservations,” wrote the authority in part on social media.

The authority said that pace is now about two-thirds of what it was last year.
