Steamship Authority, Block Island Ferry, suspend services due to high winds
NANTUCKET, Mass. (WLNE)- The Steamship Authority and Block Island Ferry have suspended all services on Wednesday due to high wind gusts.
The authority made the announcement on Twitter, advising travelers to stay off of the roads and not to attempt to go to any terminals.
Block Island Ferry made announced the suspension of services on it’s website.
No ferries to Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard will be running on Wendesday.
The highest reported wind gust on Martha’s Vineyard was 94 MPH.
