Sticking to your New Year’s fitness resolution

Warwick gym offers new way to work out: Ninja fitness classes!

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE)- Are you looking to get back into the gym in the new year but feeling uninspired and bored by your old regiment? Laid Back Fitness in Warwick offers ninja style fitness classes that are both mentally and physically engaging. What is ninja training you may be wondering? Owner and founder Ryan McGowan says “ninja refers to the sport, obstacle based training…so we teach people techniques to overcome obstacles”.

Don’t be fooled by the name, the classes held at ‘Laid Black Fitness’ are not laid back in the traditional sense, McGowan says their motto is not “push harder, more reps” but instead “lets step back evaluate how you move, what went wrong, and deliberately practice how to make you better”. Laid Back Fitness offers ninja inspired fitness and movement classes to all ages and skill levels. McGowan tells ABC6 his classes focus on ‘real life moments’ and bettering the body and mind as a whole.

Laid Back Fitness was the first ninja gym in the state offering obstacle style training and equipment for practice and use. Interested in trying it out? Check out their class schedule at www.laidbackfitness.com
