Storms cause power outages and downed trees
Storms rolling through Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts caused some serious damage in several towns and leaving several thousand without power.
High winds and driving rain contributed to knock down trees into power lines.
National Grid says most of the lights are back on but there are still a few hundred without power, mostly in Coventry, Westerly and South Kingstown.
The storms have since moved out of the area and we should see sunny skies the rest of the day.
