Stormy Weather Trend

Storm system number one is here in Southern New England. Locally heavy rain will be here through tonight. leading to a slow late commute. Along with extensive ponding on the roads, we will have reduced visibility and poor drainage flooding. We will pick up a lot of rain in a short amount of time tonight. It will also become a bit breezy with northerly gusts of 25 mph. The rain will taper off after midnight then resume in the morning as showers. Any showers around near noon will change over to snow through the afternoon. Little to no accumulation is expected, but roads will become slippery in northernmost areas of southern New England where it sticks. Most of our area will see grassy surfaces and car top coating at best. The weekend is looking mostly dry. Saturday will have a blend of sun and clouds while Sunday will see more sunshine but rain will likely develop Sunday evening. This is storm number 2. Rain will last from Sunday night through Monday and this one will be windy too. Tuesday will get a little break before storm system number 3 moves in with rain and mixed precipitation Wednesday into Thursday.
