Alana joined the ABC6 News team in July of 2013, working her way from weekend reporter, to weekday reporter, to weekend anchor, before settling in as weeknight evening anchor.

Alana is no stranger to southeastern New England. Born and raised in Cumberland, she went on to graduate from Mount Saint Charles Academy before leaving the area to attend Villanova University, right outside of Philadelphia.

It wasn’t long before she was back in Rhode Island, where she produced and hosted a health news minute on WLWC-TV in Providence.

In her years at ABC6, Alana has covered a wide array of stories – from uncovering a loophole in Rhode Island child neglect law, to live updates from the Republican headquarters during Rhode Island’s 2018 gubernatorial election, to live coverage from Atlanta, GA, for the Patriots’ appearance in Super Bowl 53.

When she's not bringing you the latest in local news, Alana likes to explore local food destinations, take her two dogs for walks, and listen to country music. She loves all things about New England and would love to discover more! Feel free to say "Hi!" to her on Facebook @AlanaCerroneABC6 or Twitter @ACerroneABC6.
