East Providence police are investigating a deadly accident that happened Friday afternoon on Bullocks point avenue.

Police say 53-year-old Laurie Rozen may have been trying to cross the road near her Bullocks Point Avenue home when a car traveling north hit her.

She rolled onto the hood, hit her head on the windshield and then hit the ground.

The driver, a 39-year-old female, immediately got out of the car and called police. Paramedics performed CPR on Rozen all the way to the hospital but she died shortly after arriving in the emergency room.

Speed does not appear to be a factor, and she is not facing charges at this time.

Two children were also in the vehicle at the time of the crash but no one else was injured.
