Rhode Island is once again a back drop for a movie. A new film starring Jack Black is being shot at several locations  this summer.

On Wednesday, part of the movie was being filmed inside the Rhodes On The Pawtuxet in Cranston. "The Polka King" is a true story about a polka singer from Pennsylvania turned con–man, who was able to trick an entire town out of millions of dollars.

Hundreds lined up to get the chance to be an extra in the movie in Cranston.

The film crew will be heading to Pawtucket next month, Shooting scenes at the Modern Diner on East Ave.

The "Polka King" is set to hit theaters sometime next year.
