BARRINGTON, R.I. (WLNE) – An elementary school student in Barrington has received an unexpected gift from the New England Patriots.

As part of a class project, Hampden Meadows School student Nathan researched Tom Brady and wrote an illustrated biography about the Patriots quarterback.

Word got to the reigning NFL champs, who sent the 4th-grader a package containing a letter, a Patriots pennant, and a photo of the 2018 team.

Nathan’s teacher, Sandra Ginalski, was awarded a grant from the Rhode Island Foundation to fund creative class projects like illustrated books, board games and stuffed animals.

These projects, including Nathan’s biography of Brady, will be donated to the community.
