CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) - An investigation done by State Police led to the arrest of a corrections officer working out of Rhode Island. 

40-year-old Collins Umoh of Warwick is facing felony charges after the investigation uncovered that Umoh had sexual relations on multiple occasions with inmates.

The investigation was conducted by the Rhode Island State Police Major Crimes Unit and the Rhode Island Department of Corrections' Office of internal affairs after alleged incidents took place at the Gloria McDonald Women's Facility on the ACI grounds. 

Umoh being charged with seven counts of Correctional Employees- Sexual Relations with Inmates.

Umoh, a correctional officer of nearly 11 years, was arrested and arraigned on Tuesday, but was released on $20,000 personal recognizance.
