PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – A Providence assisted living facility celebrated over a century of life Wednesday in honor of one of their oldest residents.

Annette, who was born in Providence in 1914, and has spent her entire life living in the Ocean State, celebrated her 105th birthday Wednesday.

Capitol Ridge, the facility on Smith Street where Annette lives, celebrated her milestone with a party featuring music, dancing, and, of course, birthday cake.

Annette’s keys to living well?

"Good life, good family, and a lot of wine”, she said.

She said taste testing the wine her father made when she was younger was important in helping her live a long and happy life.
