NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) - There's a new face on the mass state police most wanted list, and authorities are hoping the publicity will help track down their suspect.
The suspect, 33-year-old Carlos Vizcaino, is wanted for beating and raping a woman at knife point in New Bedford.
Authorities say the attack happened on May 31st, 2018 and lasted for hours.
Vizcaino has been tough to track down as he goes by a number of different aliases, and has used multiple social security numbers and dates of birth.
“He produced official driver’s licenses in Rhode Island and New Hampshire in two different names, two different identities,” said Detective Lieutenant Michael Farley of the MSP Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section.
State police said Vizcaino is 5’7” tall and weights 185 pounds.
He has a “Live Strong” tattoo on his shoulder, and unique scars on his forehead.
Vizcaino is of Hispanic descent and is from either the Dominican Republic or Puerto Rico.
Anyone with information on Vizcaino or his whereabouts is asked to contact Massachusetts State Police.
