TAUNTON, MA (WLNE) - Officials say everyone is okay after a three-alarm fire at a home on Harrison Street.

Crews were called to the scene just after 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The fire spread quickly through the multi-family home, and flames were shooting through the roof and both sides of the house.

Some people jumped from the floors above the first floor, but were not injured.

A passerby says she helped people on the first floor escape through windows.

Multiple neighboring cities and towns were called to assist the Taunton Fire Department on scene.

Officials say everyone in the house has been accounted for, and no firefighters are injured.

The fire occurred near the corner of Harrison Street and Winthrop Street, shutting down Taunton's main roadway for several hours.
