SWANSEA, Ma (WLNE): A 55-year-old man died after he was found in the water at the Swansea Town Beach on Saturday, according to police.

Police received a call around 1 p.m. of an unresponsive man in the water. Kayakers noticed the man and alerted bystanders on the beach, according to police. He was pulled to shore where the bystanders administered CPR. 

The man was transported by Swansea Ambulance to Charlton Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

This man has since been identified as 55-year-old Christopher Johnson. 

The incident remains under investigation. 

Back in July, a Fall River man was also pulled out of the water at Swansea Town Beach and later died according to police.
